• Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service or parts of our Service.

• Application refers to VP Ride, the software program provided by the Company.

• Service means the VP Ride mobile application, our website at vpride.ca, and related booking and support services operated by ValuePrime Taxi Service.

It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Depending on how you use VP Ride, this may include:
• Account / authentication: email, password (if registered by email), Google account identifier, session tokens
• Profile: profile photo (optional upload), display name, phone number
• Payment & trip completion: payment method reported for a trip, fare amounts, receipts, star ratings and feedback
• Promotions & loyalty: promo codes used, loyalty / rewards progress (if enabled)
• Safety (SOS): if you trigger in-app SOS, we collect trip context and location to respond (when the feature is enabled)
• Driver-specific data (for approved drivers): online/offline status, live location while online, trip and earnings history
We may also collect:
• Contact and booking information: name, phone number, email address, pickup/drop-off addresses, trip details, reservation times, and special accessibility needs
• Video/audio data: if our vehicle is equipped with a dashboard camera or security system for safety
Usage and Device Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using our website or mobile app.
When you use our website or mobile app, we automatically collect certain technical information, such as your device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, network connection type, and general diagnostic or crash data.
On our website, this may include browser type, pages viewed, and visit timestamps. In the mobile app, this may include feature usage, session information, and error logs needed to operate and improve the Service.
We may also collect push notification tokens so we can send trip updates and account-related alerts to your device.
Location and trip information: To provide ride booking, dispatch, navigation, live tracking, and safety features, we collect location information when you use the app, including: pickup and drop-off locations you enter or select on the map, your device's location when you allow location permissions (for example, to set pickup or while driving), driver location during active trips and, for approved drivers, while online and available for trips, trip route, distance, timing, status, and related trip history.
You can control location permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without location access.
Use of Your Personal Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
1. To dispatch taxis and fulfill your transportation requests.
2. To process payments and issue receipts.
3. To communicate with you regarding your booking or customer service inquiries.
4. To ensure the safety and security of both drivers and passengers. When SOS is used, we may share trip ID, location, rider/driver identity, and timestamp with designated staff or authorities as needed for safety response.
5. To comply with applicable municipal and provincial regulations (e.g., Manitoba vehicle-for-hire bylaws).
The Company may also use Personal Data for the following purposes:
• To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
• To manage your account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. The personal data you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to you as a registered user.
• To contact you: by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application's push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
• To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or inquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information.
• For business transfers: we may use your personal data to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal data held by us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.
• For other purposes: we may use your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and your experience.

1. With our drivers: Limited information (name, phone number, and location) is shared with the dispatched driver to complete your ride. During an active trip, riders receive driver name, phone number, vehicle information, and live location so they can identify and track their driver.
2. Legal requirements: If required by law, court orders, or to protect our legal rights.
We may also share your personal data in the following situations:
• With Service Providers: We may share your personal data with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to contact you.
• For business transfers: We may share or transfer your personal data in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
• With Affiliates: We may share your personal data with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.
• With business partners: We may share your personal data with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
• With other users: If our Service offers public areas, when you share personal data or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
• With your consent: We may disclose your personal data for any other purpose with your consent.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including personal data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It may be transferred to computers located outside your province or country where data protection laws may differ.
Cross-border processing: Some of your data may be processed in the United States by Google (Maps, Sign-In, Firebase) under their terms, since that is our main cross-border processing.
Where required by applicable law, we will ensure that international transfers of your personal data are subject to appropriate safeguards. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the personal data that we have collected about you. Our Service may give you the ability to delete certain information about you from within the Service.

Please note, however, that we may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 16 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
